About PCH  | Why are we moving? | Where is it? | Who's coming with us?

Our opening schedule

The decision of when to move to PCH will be based on the best available information and a thorough risk assessment and will be based on the best interests of our patients, families and carers.

It is still intended that PCH will open in a staged approach, beginning with the commencement of limited outpatient services four weeks prior to final move day, followed by limited elective day surgery two weeks prior to final move day.

The transfer of patients from Bentley Adolescent Unit to PCH will occur approximately within one week following the transfer of patients from PMH.
The PMH Executive, senior PMH clinicians, the PCH project and other stakeholders will be consulted in order to come to a determination regarding hospital opening and a recommendation will then be submitted to Government.

Our focus remains on ensuring we have a safe hospital for patients and staff and we will open Perth Children’s Hospital only when it is safe to do so.
